Day 60 #create365
Channeling Echophon for the final sketch in this 30 day set of interactive sketches. My GIF isn’t perfect (still working on that) but I’m OK with that.
In the interactive sketch, mouse position controls both the speed of the radial oscillation (in and out) and the angular velocity of the dots. I mapped the mouse so that it is not simply the horizontal and vertical mouse positions that influence those parameters, but the actual polar mouse quantities (distance from center and angle from horizontal).Try leaving your mouse in one place for a bit to let it cycle through and then move slowly.
I think I’m going to let the next 30 days be a free-for-all instead of picking a focus as I have too many different things I want to work on. But expect images, interactive sketches and, yes, more GIF’s.

Awesome!  I got to meet Casey last night for a real-life chat.  We’ve got some similar ideas, excited to see where those ideas take each of us.
Oh, and BTW make sure you click through, Casey is running his sketches with processing.js so you can interact with them.
